History of the Global Exchange Program
The International Leadership Foundation launched its Global Exchange Program in 2008, establishing a “U.S. Political and Business Delegation” to visit Asia for the purpose of promoting leadership development and international relations in Asia and Pacific Rim countries. With this goal in mind, ILF has successfully formed strategic alliances with international organizations that share our mission to enhance political, economic, and education focused cross-cultural exchange programs for the mutual benefit of our countries.
Young Ambassador Program
It also includes the Young Ambassador Program, which seeks to prepare the next generation of young international leaders to address the global business and political challenges in our ever-changing world. This program hosts approximately sixty outstanding students from Asia to participate in a unique twelve-day program in Washington, D.C. and the northeastern region of the United States. It is comprised of an exciting series of lectures, excursions, and discussions of topics ranging from international business relations to public policy and the legislative process. Field visits include Capitol Hill, federal agencies, the United Nations, NYSE trading floor, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, West Point Military Academy, and several of the top universities in America.
