Scholarship and Endowment

David Sen Lin Lee Foundation Scholarship

The David Sen Lin Lee Foundation has provided scholarships through ILF for young Asian Pacific American (APA) leaders who believe in the value of free markets, liberty and democracy, strong national security and defense, and freedom. Our special scholarships have supported 10 Fellows over the last 9 years thanks to the leadership and dedication of Mr. David S. Lee.

David S. Lee is Chairman of the Board for Cortelco, was appointed by President George Bush Jr. to be a member of the President’s Council on the 21st Century Workforce, and is Regent Emeritus for the University of California. He was also an advisor to Presidents Bush and Clinton through the Advisory Committee on Trade Policy and Negotiation for two terms as well as to Governor Pete Wilson through the California Economic Development Corporation (CalEDC), the Council on California Competitiveness, and a Charter Member of the Minority Business Roundtable. Mr. Lee has received numerous awards for his contributions to high technology and local communities, including the Asian/Pacific American Heritage Award from President Bush.

Richard and Eric Dong Endowment Fund

​Formed through Richard and Eric’s personal investment earnings since 2010, the Richard and Eric Dong Endowment Fund at the International Leadership Foundation was created in 2017 in honor of ILF Board of Directors and in appreciation of their distinguished leadership, commitment, and dedication to ILF. It supports ILF Program Scholarships, Leadership Training, and Global Democracy & Governance Initiatives, and hopes to nurture the spirit of the ILF and generate more support.

Richard and Eric attend Brown University, are proudly the youngest U.S.-China Committee members, young ambassadors of ILF, and the youngest Leadership Council members of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights. Richard is also the youngest inaugural member of Harvard 1879 Society and earned the Congressional Award Bronze/Silver Medal from the US Congress and was named Student of the Year 2017 by ILF. Both received President’s Volunteer Service Award at gold level with commitment to education and interned for Congresswoman Judy Chu.
