Sherry Hwang is President and Co-Founder of Pyramid Systems, Inc., a professional and technical services firm specializing in IT consulting, complex software engineering and system migration, applications maintenance, and integrated workplace management and GIS solutions. Pyramid is a 2008 graduate of the 8(a) program and was named by the SBA as their 8(a) Graduate of the Year for the Washington Metro Area. USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) awarded Pyramid the Small Business Contractor of the Year for 2009. Sherry co-founded Pyramid in 1995 and become President of the organization in 1999. Pyramid has experienced uninterrupted growth since its formation and has been profitable in every fiscal quarter. Today, the company employs approximately 90 full-time staff members based in three offices in the Washington Metropolitan area and one overseas office. Sherry has dedicated her personal time to the charity work. She coordinates Ballou Senior High’s student aid program where 90 percent of the students are in the reduced lunch program in Southeast Washington, DC. She also provides summer internships to senior students who are aspiring to go to college. She believes that education is one of the key factors to success.
