Jimmy Ferguson, ILF Board Member, Receives 2016 AAJC Change Maker Award

On October 6th, 2016, ILF was pleased to join the 25th Awards Gala of Asian American Advancing Justice (AAJC) to celebrate our board member, Mr. Jimmy Ferguson for receiveing the 2016 Change Maker Award.

Mr. Ferguson, who has been running almost 20 McDonald’s restaurants with his wife Mrs. Ferguson, was honored for his dedication in our community. Mr. Ferguson has served as vice chair of the Asian McDonald’s Operators Association (AMOA) and West Division President for AMOA. He is also serving as a board member of the of the Asian/Pacific Islander American Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (ACE), the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF), and the International Leadership Foundation. Previously, Mr. Ferguson was appointed by Gov. Bill Clinton to the Arkansas Governor’s Advisory Council on Volunteerism.

Mr. Ferguson is has worked hard to deliver APA business interests, to foster young APA entrepreneurs, to advocate for APA leadership in corporate America, and to cultivate next generations of APA leaders through scholarship programs.

At the Gala, Virginia Delegate Mark Keam, who is also serving as an honorary board member of ILF, led the dinner as a co-chair of the event, successfully raising funds for the organization and sharing his strong belief in why we need to support APA advocate groups.
