Youth Leadership Academy/Workshops

ILF National Advisory Boards organize workshops for high school students year-round to develop APA youth into future leaders, to honor current leaders who inspire the next generation of APA leaders, and to highlight opportunities for such development.

Development

  • Raise civic awareness among APA youth
  • Train students to become effective leaders in their communities and beyond

Honor

  • Invite speakers who inspire the next generation of leaders, such as
    • Brad Owen, Former Lt. Governor of the State of Washington
    • Congressman Ted Lieu of the 33rd District of California
    • Steve Lin, Program Manager at Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics, Inc. (LEAP)
    • Olympic Athletes
  • Reward scholarships to APA youth who have already demonstrated commitment to the improvement of their communities

Opportunities

  • Introduce high school students to the many opportunities provided by ILF
  • Provide high school students across the nation the chance to connect with other future APA leaders
