ILF Joined the APAICS Gala Where President Obama Spoke

The International Leadership Foundation (ILF) Fellow alumni and advisors were pleased to attend the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies’ (APAICS) 22nd Annual Gala Awards Dinner on May 4 where President Obama spoke. His speech inspired current and future generations of Asian Pacific American (APA) leaders. Congressman Xavier Becerra received the APAICS Lifetime Achievement Award. Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang were selected as Vision Award honorees. The Honorable Norman Mineta, Vice Chair of APAICS, Honorary Chairman of ILF, and former Secretary of Transportation made his attendance and remarks. Congress Members Judy Chu, Grace Meng, and Mark Takano provided remarks. ILF applauds all APAICS staff for their hard work and enthusiasm, and congratulates them for making another successful Gala which gathered all Asian American leaders from across the country and celebrated the 2016 Asian Pacific American Heritage month.
