Chun-Ya (C.Y.) has over 30 years of experience in the high-tech semiconductor industry. He has been working in Silicon Valley since 1983, holding a variety of management positions from managing multiple manufacturing factories and developing advanced semiconductor process technologies to building and coaching engineers and individuals who then went on to become leaders across many fields. C.Y. stands as a strong and inspirational leader in both his career and community involvement. His passion for his work is balanced by his commitment to helping others with his knowledge and resources. He is currently the Vice President of the Integrated Device Technology, a 35-year-old semiconductor company based in the Silicon Valley.
C.Y. holds numerous community organization leadership roles. He is Vice Chairman of ILF’s San Francisco Advisory Board and Chairman of Monte Jade West, a science and technology association founded in 1989 with 14 branches across Asia and North America. C.Y. is also the Vice Chair of Mandarin Business Association and the Co-founder of Benefit Tomorrow Organization, a non-profit organization founded in 2010 that focus on children’s art, talent, and leadership development in Silicon Valley.
C.Y. was born in Taipei, Taiwan and came to the United States in 1979 as a student. C.Y. was a Fellow and received a scholarship on his mater’s degree study in Gas Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. C.Y. also holds a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Santa Clara.
