Alumnus Karim Farishta Received Truman Fellowship

ILF is proud to celebrate Karim Farishta for receiving the Harry S. Truman Foundation Scholarship, a nationwide honor aimed at supporting graduate studies for candidates who demonstrate “the passion, intellect and leadership potential” to serve the public. Karim is one of 54 students who were named Truman Scholars. While serving as an ILF Civic Fellow, Karim interned at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), as well as the White House. After completing the fellowship, Karim accepted a full-time position with the White House while continuing his studies as an International Affairs major with a concentration in Conflict Resolution at George Washington University.
