2015 Alum Returns to DC for U.S. Foreign Service Internship

In 2015, Aaron Huang from Rice University joined the International Leadership Foundation and interned at the Environmental Protection Agency, Office of the Administrator.  One year later, ILF can proudly share Aaron’s recent success, reflecting his hard work and dedication to the fields of foreign policy and diplomacy.

“USFSIP Success Story: U.S. Foreign Service Internship Program (USFSIP) participant Mr. Aaron Huang recently began his internship at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. As part of the two-summer program, he is taking classes at the Foreign Service Institute (National Foreign Affairs Training Center) on diplomatic history, life in the Foreign Service, cable-writing, and State Department organization. Aaron is a rising junior at Rice University studying Economics, Policy Studies, and Asian Studies. He is originally from Los Angeles, but lived in Taiwan for 9 years. At school, he works on U.S.-China Relations research at the Baker Institute. He hopes to become a Foreign Service Officer and focus on issues relating to East Asia and LGBT rights.”
